happy days

So I’ve made a very interesting discovery. I took the advice of someone, and as it turns out it was some very good advice. So I am going to take the pleasure of passing this good advice on, because that is what I like to do. I was having a bad day, which as you all might agree is never good, hence it’s having been bad. And they told me to just wear a smile on my face. Having been in a bad mood, my reply was: “That’s a very stupid thing to do when, as you can clearly see, I’m not in the mood to smile.” Her reply was that it would put me in the mood to smile. She was right. I couldn’t help smiling at the fact that I was wearing a stupid grin on my face. I don’t know what it is, but you just can’t not smile, when your wearing a smile. Even if that smile is fake. So give yourself more happy day’s and put on a smile. Even if it’s fake.
Abortion

Today I am going to approach the subject of Abortion. I am going to start by saying that I am personally against it. Our country was founded on the idea of Freedom of rights among other things. So to begin with I am going to state that the whole idea of abortion is hypocritical, because people say that the mother has the freedom of choice to abort her baby. But what about the babies rights? They don’t get the freedom to choose whether they live or die, like they technically should. Not only do people ignore the babies choice, but they ignore god’s choice too. Babies are God’s creation, therefore what right do we have to decide whether they live or die? God has a plan for every baby that is aborted, and we ruin those plans when we kill his children. Lastly I’m going to say that I have yet to find an animal clinic that offers abortion procedures for people’s pets, and I work at an animal hospital. What does that say about the choices we are making regarding this subject, if the procedure we are doing on humans isn’t even done on animals? Now your probably going to say that people don’t offer abortion procedures for animals, because their owners can solve the problem of an “accident” baby by getting them fixed. But believe it or not people can get “fixed” too. For females the surgery that does this is called tubal ligation, and for males it is called vasectomy. So with that said, I am going to say that there is no realistic reason that we should have this problem of abortion, when the reasonable thing for people to do who never want babies to begin with, is to get “Fixed”.
Little Moments Like That

The one subject I have found myself reflecting upon the most these last few weeks is time. And how it seems that for every year that you grow older, time goes by that much faster. I’ve been really thinking about why that might be, and what we can do about it. My theory is that , when you are younger you don’t completely understand the whole concept of time and how it works. But when you are older you do. With that age and the understanding of it, time goes by faster. Now you may be wondering what I propose we do about that. My simple answer is to not waste your time. Don’t let moments that you could easily enjoy pass you by.Enjoy your life and the things that are in it. And not just the big things either. Waking up in the morning, and drinking a hot cup of coffee while watching the sunset is a nice way to enjoy it. Having a night out with friends doing something crazy like bowling, or kayaking. It’s the little moments like that I find I enjoy the most.
Do what you love

Most of the people I’ve talked to this week have been complaining to me about their job. If you talk to the people around you, then maybe you have realized like me, that it’s quite common. And I really have to wonder, if they don’t like what they are doing then why are they doing it? Why don’t they quit? They don’t quit because they would rather feel secure in having a job, then finding themselves still looking for the one they would like. If your gonna pick a career, then do what you love, because a career is something that you do for life.
Laughing Mishap

There was a guy who owned a motorcycle he was very proud of. He had it set on the back patio outside his slider door of their apartment, and was cleaning it. Well the man’s wife told him to go in and help her fix the fan in their dining room, But the man revved his motorcycle and yelled, “Sorry I can’t hear you over the noise!” instead. When the man revved his motorcycle he accidently sent his motorcycle into gear and it went crashing through the glass sliding door. Both man and wife stood in shock and stared at the broken glass and gas on the floor before them. Frustrated the man strode out of the apartment with the dog and went for a walk. His wife wife grabbed some paper towel and cleaned up the gas, because paper towel was all they had.She went to through it in the trash, but forgot that early that morning the garbage had been collected, so she threw it in the toilet instead. Then she vacuumed up all the glass. After awhile the husband returned and went to use the bathroom. As he was sitting there he lit up a cigarette hoping he could smoke out the rest of his frustration. Done with his business he dropped the cigarette between his legs. Hearing a loud Boom, the wife rushed in to see what had happened and then rushed back to a phone and called 911. The paramedics arrived shortly after and started to carry him down the several flights of stairs. It took four of them because the guy was a heavier man, and he was a little embarrassed about it. As the paramedics were walking down what was the 3rd to last set of stairs he asked what had happened to him. When the man explained his story the paramedics busted out laughing and one of them tripped causing a laughing mishap. The man fell down the last flight of steps and came to a halt with not only burns, but now both a broken leg and a broken arm. So if your ever having a bad day keep this story in mind. I hope it will serve as a reminder that your day could always be worse, and give you a smile.
Yo Nose Out!

Tonight I worked at the Animal Hospital, of course. The first thing we usually do when we get there is walk the dogs. While I was taking a little Yorkie Terrier outside, She made the mistake of sticking her nose into a cat’s cage as we walked by. Well the cat didn’t take to well to her unexpected visitor and the Yorkie got a good nip, and a slap in the face, as if to say Yo nose out! What do we learn from this story?, is what you might be asking me. Well, just like the cat didn’t want the Yorkie’s nose in her cage, people don’t always like it when other people get into their “territory” or business. So next time you go to stick your nose in someone else’s territory think twice, because maybe they just want your nose to stay out.
Take it from Them

Believe it or not, you can learn a lot from the animals around you. At the Animal Hospital where I work, we have a cat named Daisy. She has been living there for fifteen years, ever since she was first dropped off in front of the door by her owners and left to be found, pregnant with kittens. So she was having a pretty rough time upon her arrival. The last fifteen years have been pretty good to her, but now Daisy isn’t doing so hot. Daisy has just been diagnosed with cancer. It has left her with an amputated toe, a collapsed lung, and a tumor on her face. So Daisy has every right to complain considering her situation. But she doesn’t. Instead She chooses to enjoy the remainder of her life, and honestly I don’t think I’ve walked by her without ever hearing at least a few purrs. Despite her negative situation, Daisy has decided to keep a positive attitude and enjoy the little things in life like her bed, and the people that love her. So next time you need some helpful advice, you just might consider taking it from them.
